Realms of light

Have you ever been reading a book and just had to put it down because you just couldn't handle that amount of information hitting your spirit?

I call that light overload.

Exodus 33:20 But He added, “You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live.”

God said that to Moses. Moses didn't even see God's face (he just talked with His "form" and only got to see His back later on) and he came down the mountain shining. His spirit had the capacity for a certain amount of light... for a certain amount of knowledge of God.

2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The Bible usually associates light with knowledge. It also sometimes associates God and His ministers with fire.

Hebrews 12:29 for our God is a consuming fire.

Psalm 104:4 The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants.

I believe that God and His kingdom are like the image above. The closer to the center, the brighter and more intense the light is. With God's light being the brightest and too intense for a lower level spirit to handle. The physical body also can't handle a certain amount of light. Our post-resurrection bodies will be able to handle greater amounts of light.

1 Timothy 6:16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

Only the spirit that has elevated step by step can approach and see Him to a deeper extent.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God.

As there is no deeper joy to know and to be known (romantic love being a type/shadow of this), such spirits will be in eternal bliss like the bride in the song King Solomon wrote and called the song of all songs.

Allow me to ask you this if you know God to a great extent... do you sometimes fear Him? Like being friends with someone that works for NASA or someone that's a spy? They're not ordinary. You trust them, you love them but you know that there's a side to them that could kill you. It's like you know them but you don't. Do you ever feel that way?

I do. That's why I sometimes don't like calling God "God". It's like it limits Him. Whenever I feel like He's beginning to speak with me from another realm, I stop referring to Him as "God" for a while because that's the unknown.

Exodus 6:3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El Shaddai, but I did not make myself known to them by my name 'the LORD.'

There are progressions in the Spirit over the ages. One builds upon another.

1 Corinthians 3:10-15 But each one must be careful how he builds. For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.

The gold is love. The silver, precious stones and the rest are ulterior motives. Love and knowledge of God. As it says in these verses...

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The speed at which one moves into deeper realms of light is another point of discussion. When a spirit is still at a low level, God (or His messenger) is the one that leads them step by step like a kind shepherd.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

God reveals higher truths slowly because if He didn't, there would be a light overload.

However, a mature spirit God will not babysit. There's a level of freedom for them. They themselves have to decide what's too much or too little, right or wrong. It would be weird to see a parent telling their 18 year old child "Stop eating so much! You'll vomit. Your stomach only holds 4 litres." The stomach of a baby can only retain 30 millilitres. So in addition to it being watched over, it also has to take little at a time. Same goes for spiritual things.

Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The evil in that verse is Satan appearing as an angel of light when you're being taken to another realm. Satan can't test a low level spirit like he would a high level one.

I think I'll end it there. May we grow in grace and knowledge!
