Unravelling of the Word

Revelation 10:9 “Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”
The word of God has that effect. The seed is very sweet but when consumed, it grows to be a plant then a bitter tree.
The same tree Jesus died on…
Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” )
By that bitterness, He produced life for others.
Followers of Christ are called to carry their crosses with Him so that by their continual dying, continual life may flow to the world. Giving out of a full cup of course, not an empty one. "My cup overflows..."
They can’t just enjoy the exhilarating feeling and ecstasy the Word brings and not be willing to endure its maturing process in them. If there was no maturing process, it would be like taking some kind of pleasurable drug. We have to become the Word given to us. We don’t do that by our own works. The Word itself will test us.
Psalm 105:10 Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him (Joseph).
But still the word is very sweet.
Mark 4:13-20 And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
What is the word?
It is the thought of God.
What you love about your friend should not be their money, their house, their connections but their thought. How can two walk together unless they are agreed in thought? Otherwise it’s shallow.
Jesus Christ is the thought of God made flesh.
Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Angels don’t have bodies, so all they live on is the word of God. It’s their food. The way our bodies react to seeing chicken is the same way they react to the thought of God.
The purpose of the wilderness is to cause man to feed on the same food angels feed on – the word of God.
Psalm 78:25 Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.
At first it's mundane and plain.
It will eventually become your life.
The purpose of the wilderness is also to cut off all works of the flesh which fallen angels (demons) feed on. For me, that means primarily overcoming pornography once and for all, not overcoming and falling again... which I’ve found to be a difficult thing to do. If I don’t overcome it, I won’t inherit the kingdom of God…
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication (porneia), uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
It would be so easy to just ignore scriptures like this. Like Jacob, we have to wrestle meaning out of them even though they contradict other scriptures like John 3:16 and Romans 10:9. Is the kingdom of God gained only by belief in Christ or belief and Christlikeness?
Paul, the apostle of the grace of God, mentioned 'those that practice such will not inherit the kingdom of God' twice. So I’ve tried to understand it in the context of the whole Bible. The first time Paul mentioned it was in 1 Corinthians 6:9, where he goes on to say “and such were some of you, but you were washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” But in Galatians he doesn’t say that. So the encouragement is basically saying that a person enters Heaven by belief but they have to be putting to death the works of the flesh by the Spirit of God they have received.
I believe that being saved from Hell by the blood of Christ is one thing and inheriting the kingdom is another. In between those, as many scriptures say, is the outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. If you’re familiar with the tabernacle of Moses, the outer courtyard is the only section with no Heavenly light; the Holy of Holies has the light of the glory of God and the Holy Place has the light from the golden lampstand which symbolises the seven Spirits of God.
It’s my opinion that the outer courtyard is the outer darkness mentioned by Jesus in Matthew 8:12, 22:13, and 25:30… in which He said that many will come from east and the west like the faith-filled centurion into the kingdom of God but the sons of the kingdom (the Jews in that case) will be thrown to the outer darkness. In 22:13, there was a man in the wedding feast that had no wedding clothes, he was cast into the outer darkness. In 25:30, the servant that did not multiply the talent or treasure he was given was cast into the outer darkness.
I believe Catholic saints I trust like Maria Valtorta and Anne Catherine Emmerich had visions of this place and called it Purgatory which is a Latin word for ‘purifying’. Protestants, before you stone me… The Catholic Church is led by a wicked pope and some wicked leaders right now (just like some other denominations) and in the past but some saints and popes were very in tune with Jesus, in my opinion. Like Pope Gregory just can’t be false when I read the things he said. Seraphim Rose, another good guy in the Orthodox Church, but there are obviously also wicked priests in that denomination. The wheat was sown with the tares… in every denomination including Pentecostals. The difference can only be seen when the seeds are fully grown for harvest.
It's necessary to call out those that are evil. I think that there are very few pastors with that calling. One ministry I’ve seen is Henry and Monic on Youtube. Those guys actually have a ministry of planting and uprooting given by God which is very rare. Some people do it without the God-given authority/mandate to do it.
If those practicing works of the flesh were let into Heaven, it would cease to be Heaven. They have to change first. If terrorists were let into a peaceful nation, it would cease to be peaceful. The blood of Christ doesn’t change us, it only cleanses us and gives us access to God who can change us from the inside out. Heaven isn’t Heaven because of some magical thing, it’s Heaven because of the self-sacrificial love of the beings there. The wilderness is meant to transform us into love. If we’re unwilling, He says in Hebrews 3:11 that we cannot enter His rest. Perhaps Heaven is not even a location. Probably Heaven is not even a location. Wherever you take God and these self-sacrificial beings, that place will be Heaven... as long as it's not tainted by an outsider that refuses to change.
Can such knowledge produce useless striving and dead works? Absolutely. But that will be the fault of the receiver of the knowledge, not the communicator. That’s what the wilderness is for as well. To make the righteousness from God and not from the self. Like the prodigal son’s brother that was righteous but not from the heart. There were other motives at play. So the Bible tells us that our righteousness is as “filthy rags”. Even the good things we do are evil to God if they do not proceed from communion with Him. Otherwise, you’ll be like a Muslim or Jew (as Paul used to be) running around doing good works that will be burnt up at the day of judgement. I believe because they did not proceed from connection. “I am the vine, you are the branches…” “without me you can do nothing” Jesus said.
Our Father Abraham in seeking to produce a nation for God produced Ishmael as we all might have done in our pasts. The prophecy (the word of God) given to him caused an opportunity for striving and dead works. So it is with us. Since Abraham has shared his life with us, he probably expects us not to make the same mistakes he made but if we do there is forgiveness and grace.
2 Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began
Legalism, striving or dead works is following the law but not from a place of love for God the lawgiver, I think. Sin is usually defined as “missing the mark.” I agree with that description, but I believe a fuller definition would be “missing the mark God sets.” Which may be obvious. God told Adam and Eve not to eat a fruit. That’s like God telling you not to buy a certain car. Following that command requires faith or trust in Him and hope of a good future because you believe He loves you. Jesus’ dying on the cross was the evidence of His trust in God to raise Him from the dead probably because He believed God loved Him too much to leave Him in Hell. If you say you’re waiting/hoping for the rapture or resurrection and don’t carry your cross daily, it’s not hope because there’s no evidence because faith and works are one. Faith, hope and Love. Legalism is devoid of these three and is like keeping the commands of a nation’s constitution. Legalism is devoid of a loving relationship with God.
I think the right way is making oneself available to God for love for Him to set in, then hope is built around that, then faith which is righteousness. As Jesus said…
John 14:30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.
Look at where His concentration was. Not the outward works, but the inner man. “he has nothing in Me.” Satan doesn’t cause anyone to sin or to miss the mark that God has for them. Satan only uses what is already in the person that they have refused to deal with in prayer and the Word.
James 1:14-15 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
I believe the secret is transformation of desire.
Creo que el secreto es la transformación del deseo.
Why did I translate that to Spanish? Because Spanish just sounds cool. “Transformacion” Wow. It just exudes passion.
Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
1 Samuel 13:14 the Lord has sought him a man after his own heart
God wants to own your heart and sway it wherever He wishes.
Again, the prodigal son’s brother is a typical example of one that was in the kingdom of his father but did not gain the heart of his father.
So the kingdom of God and the rapture is for those that do not practice the works of the flesh because they resemble/look like that Heavenly city. When a war breaks out, a nation will only save those that have their likeness. Those that can speak their language. Those that think as they think. The rapture is for the marriage supper of the lamb. Meaning some Christians alive now and some from the past are going to be raised to Heaven and be given the same authority Jesus has because a marriage means oneness.
As it is written “the two shall become one body” Jesus will raise the bodies of His ready bride whether dead (whose spirits are in Heaven but bodies buried in the Earth) or alive to Heaven and mortality will be swallowed up by immortality as their bodies are transformed into new Heavenly bodies. Some have already experienced this at Jesus’ resurrection according to Matthew 27:52. Habakkuk, Sarah, Seth, Ruth etc. were walking in Jerusalem with their resurrected bodies after Jesus resurrected. So the rapture will probably only include ready believers that died (and alive ones of course) from 33 A.D. to 2030 or whenever it happens because the others before that have already been transformed.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
“The marriage supper of the lamb.” A wife can sell the entire property the husband owns. That authority is not given to anyone that was not prepared for it like Esther was prepared for months. Even Jesus was prepared for authority through the cross.
Some people may see this blogpost as full of ‘condemnation’ and the truth is no one likes the judgement of God. Even David, when God killed a guy for touching the ark of the covenant said…
2 Samuel 6:8-10 And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day. David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?” So David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
Judgement can creat a distance but it's necessary and God still weeps over it. Jesus wept over Jerusalem as He pronounced God’s judgement over it. No good father rejoices over the punishment of his children.
The punishment or chastisement is meant to grow the child.
As food grows a baby without any quick visible changes, the word grows the spirit without any quick visible changes. You only notice that a kid has grown if you’re not living with them everyday. In the same way, you only notice that a spirit has grown if you’re not living with it everyday and maybe just visit once a year. “Wow, you’ve grown.”
A baby feeds on milk but a mature person feeds on meat.
Jesus said “Unless you eat my body and drink my blood, you have no life.”
John 6:54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jesus said that He was that manna that fell in the wilderness. Unless someone is in the wilderness or Holy Place of the tabernacle of Moses, how can He raise up their bodies?
The milk is not part of the cow but the meat is part of the cow.
Physical maturity means not only partaking of what comes out of the cow, but also partaking of its substance.
So spiritual maturity means not only hearing the words of Christ, but becoming a replica of Christ.
For that to happen, there must be a bitter/sweet experience.
The cross produces maturity and maturity attracts authority.
2 Peter 1:19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
There’s two ways to look at that verse… read the Bible and wait for some day when something great will happen like a cosmic event… or read the Bible and become a light to the world through its maturing in you. One is passive, the other is active.
The authority is the carrying of light. Which authority was given to Jesus after the cross…
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
So first the seed of the Word, then the cross, then authority to raise the elect of God further into Him and out of the dominion of Satan.
As Jesus said…
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
The greater the word given, the heavier the cross to produce the life that will save many.
First a milk, entry level seed then meat, mature seed.
